Most of the hate for a team comes because of their fan base and how they act when winning often. I don't really think the Patriots as a team were or are a bunch of assholes (outside of Belicheat), but their fans are absolute tools and with the Giants success and the Niners almost success lately...

Out of curiosity why would you guys want to go to a pve server over pvp? I mean aside from some possible inconvenience leveling, pvp servers tend to be the top raiding servers as well which means great economies and good pugs galore.

If he got a report pop up in the client then he's received a lot more then a couple of troll reports. The pop up is basically the automated system saying you've reached the report threshold right before you start getting temp bans for behavior.
