That is true but it's also true that casuals buy krono pretty consistently. There's a guy that shows up to my plat raids on Agnarr with like 1 mill pp of Kronos every time. He buys them.

I'd want to experience god/oow at some point, but I can't bring myself to invest the time to develop a character to play those expansions for a few months and stop. I finally made a char on Mischief but that's as far as I got.

A TLP that doesn't just have classic open would be a big success. Give Velious or Luclin start to open up the world.

I have only played up to ldon (Agnarr server), so I'm not sure. I know my ranger on Agnarr can easily tank anything in pop/ldon though. Also: in the pop/ldon era, DPS is basically: Rog = monk, ranger, wizard. Obviously assuming all else is equal (full buffs, playing the class appropriately).

Rangers are a very fun class to play. They're quite versatile which is nice. Pretty much one of the more robust melee classes. Can bow, melee, tank decently, etc.

There are millions of mobs in skyfire and they have insane fast respawn timers. I think aoe'ing them is doable if you have a well geared bard pulling.

I'm sure that dbg hasn't thought through that money issue, but it's pretty interesting. If one person in a group has it, does their extra money get split?

I can barely get through classic on a new TLP. Doing the grind on Agnarr was enough for me. Classic is just so incredibly boring and unfun to me. imo pop is very ideal in terms of player power and what you can do.

Ya I'm very curious how they'll handle loot drops there. Is it literally same level mobs? Will Lich Rtrangi (lvl 80 mob) in The Rescue, which can be done with 10 people, drop Quarm loot because Quarm is also lvl 80. Will planar gods in pop drop time gear?

Competition, and guilds in general are almost entirely a factor of leadership. Big numbers without good leadership are wasted. Leadership is responsible for mobilizing, getting people to do the right stuff, and recruiting.

At minimum we know EQ is profitable, so it is likely to always find a home. I was hoping to make a few hundred million on gamestop and buy EQ but I wasn't so lucky.
