For Utnayan I would go with the Targaryian prince killed off in book 1 I guess it is safe to assume at this point Utnayan isn't going to provide us with a list of all the PVP issues Sage/Firor is not allowing Wheeler to fix. His inside source must have clammed up.

Did you ever make it past level 10 and play in Cyrodil yourself? BTW still waiting on you to list all the PVP issues that you claim Sage/Firor are not letting Wheeler fix. If you were just making that up like all the other stuff just let us know.

Reading comprehension is your friend. If you can pull your head out of your ass, you would see that I specifically asked what PVP issues/problems that have been identified are the executives at ZOS not allowing Wheeler to address. Nameplates have already been addressed. So far that is the...

That's a start. Aside from nameplates, what are the PVP issues that the executives at ZOS are not allowing Wheeler to address? I assume Utnayan was just making shit up again like he always has but I trust you not to do that. Edit: I'll check the PRX forums. You made that edit while I was...

What about KV's list of PVP requirements you brought up several weeks ago? The constant criticism of PVP in TESO is that it isn't meaningful. What is Wheeler going to do to make Cyrodil more meaningful? On the flip side, what changes that could make Cyrodil more meaningful Wheeler is NOT being...

Instead of snark, perhaps try reading Tuco's posts? Nameplates is just one issue. Tuco specifically used a plural term, which implies there are multiple PVP problems that Wheeler is being overruled on.

That is an idealistic thought that unfortunately doesn't appear to have a place in the reality of modern gaming. I played this game at release and tried it again after it had been out for a year. There were several player made modules that you could tell were made by old school pen and...

Lot of drama on the official forums regarding the plan to only award Gilda stars for intercontinental trade runs. The community appears to be split roughly down the middle on whether they think its a good idea or not. I do find the " I'm gonna quit if this change goes live" posts funny...

I had similar thoughts. The guy dropping all the F bombs demanding heals reminded me of a raid leader my guild in WoW had. He played a rogue and was one of those types whose ?p?en was measured by how high he was on the DPS charts. When there were times where melee characters needed to stop...

The ganker used backflip from shadowplay and what appeared to be a blink to get out of range very quickly at which point he launched the glider. Lesson learned on my part. I just picked up lasso from battlerage so that will help out in the future.

Griefers are gonna grief and that is all part of the meta game so I can deal with it. There are however a couple of things I don't like with same faction ganking. First off, I don't like how you can toggle on bloodlust, gank someone, and then immediately turn back green. IMO if you turn on...

If Brian Wheeler is going to get all the credit for the good things about Cyrodil, should he not also get the blame for the bad things about Cyrodil? BTW Tuco's list is good and I hope most of it is categorized as "feasible" to implement, hopefully sooner rather than later.

I'm having a hard time seeing how your last paragraph will play out in game. Building a castle cost so much and takes so long its hard for me to envision a scenario where an opposing guild could demoralize the guild who put in the effort to build the castle. If anything, you would think the...

IMO a LOT of MMO gamers are irrationally immature when it comes to MMO launches. Almost every regular poster on this board has stated that it's almost a 100% certainty that every MMO launch will have major technical problems. Knowing up front there will be major technical problems, they still...

I'm just operating under the assumption that any PVP siege system where the defenders inside a castle do not have a major competitive advantage is a poorly designed system. In other words, in a properly designed PVP siege system, 100 defenders should almost always (90+%) defeat 100 attackers.
  19. R

Since you brought it up, I am curious to know how this game will manage what should be a major, inherent advantage to the defender with both sides start out with the same number of people. If the siege system is designed with any semblance of realism, the attackers should need roughly a 3:1...

Let's assume you are 100% correct and that for most people, all that matters is "Am I winning" and if not they will quit. Everyone who is a parent knows that is standard childish behavior that, if raised properly, your child eventually matures and stops displaying. Why should any MMO...

Are you in the alpha? When you see how many resources it takes to build a castle, your opinion about instancing the sieges may change. I can't imagine too many people sticking around to play if it takes them a month to build a castle and some guild can come in overnight while they are...

The design intent behind that system is 1) to prevent forcing a guild to defend their castle 24/7 and 2) to prevent zerg guilds from dominating. If Guild A owns a castle, the right to attack that castle is auctioned off and the winning Guild B is allowed to bring 100 players to the fight. No...

I'm primary bard here and started off dual wield until someone pointed out to me that dual wield is broken and the off hand doesn't provide any extra damage. I switched to 2H and started mowing down mobs. I'm going Bladedancer (Songcraft, shadowplay, battlerage) and it works great for solo PVE.

What level did you get up to? At early levels combat is boring because you only have a few skills to use and PVE mobs to fight. I would go so far as to say the combat aspect of the game probably doesn't start getting fun until you leave the protected zones and start PVPing.

    The Elder Scrolls Online

Partially agree. IMO one of the worst design decisions a MMO can make is to combine PVE and PVP into one game. It creates a permanent balance problem where abilities are buffed/nerfed because of a problem with it in PVP that screws with class balance in PVE and vice versa. EQ1 was designed...
