Raw interview video will be up in 30 minutes. I'm going to see if I can tweak an intro in there with the youtube editor. I don't have any video editing software anymore.
You also get to see my wife bring me some donuts.
I asked this question specifically. Basically there will be campaigns that are fresh and no advantage is given except by a player's skill progression. There will be campaigns that allow you to bring a whole fucking army of specced out people in too. So new guy can join a campaign and be on equal...
Some people are going to hate the interview because there aren't any concrete updates but I loved it. It was more high scope development philosophy on how they plan on creating the game. I think the core lesson to be learned is that the game is still in early development and details are fluid...
I don't think he's bloating the game, he's really just spitballing here to take a temperature. Assuming they develop the game properly, changing rule sets shouldn't be all that hard. The hard part is finding good ones and not waste people's time.
The game is the campaign. In the campaign you build castles and siege shit. Your kingdom is your guild as you battle it out inside campaigns. From all they have said, the EK is a bit more than a virtual lobby, but not much else. They need a static area for the economy to bridge campaigns. This...
This seem at odds of what I've read. Maybe you're hoping for one thing and reading too much into things?
The meaningfull continuity is your character and it's skill level. Gear in this game is as transient as ships and stuff you outfit them with are in EVE. Your meaningful progression is...
No the object of the game is to win campaigns. The spoils of those campaigns will make you stronger and thus winning campaign easier. Those spoils are gathering materials that help make gear. Depending on the type of campaign you can lose gear when you get killed. So it's not some kind of...
I think people are spending too much time thinking about EK. It's actually one of the questions I'll be asking tomorrow. "Are people spending to much time worrying and/or thinking about EK in relation to the over all game design?"
Well it's not like they plan on just shitting out campaigns. They will probably put out new ones over time not every day.
League does this with temp game modes that are in rotation throughout the year. Could work like that.
I just got done deep sea fishing and about to eat our haul of tuna.
Tuco, I just approved todd's Account. If you could keep an eye out for more art craft Account to verify I'd appreciate it.
I have a three hour flight tomorrow. I'll come up with something.
A lot of the things I have in mine are basic mmo design stuff like nameplates.
A lot of the game stuff isn't set in stone yet so bits ibid of tough.
There are already low risk stuff people are going to be into with very low reward retention.
I don't understand that we'll myself. When they said you keep x% of your resources, is that what you have in hand at the last second? Or what you accumulated?
How does banking work?
I'm confused...
Yeah. I think Tuco is putting the wrong spin on it in his head. EK is basically the low risk or no risk place you can hang out when not campaigning. (can you visit it during a campaign?). I don't think it's supposed to be a major game play focus on the scale of campaigns. It's more of a...
Fast paced combat with skill cool down just gets you spam fest Wildstar combat. It's shit. It does mean you don't have instant cast spells and everything roots you in place, but there should be consideration when you press a button.
