Resource gathering should be some KIND OF PvP open world garrisons from WOW.

I wasn't talking about group dynamics but the way it allowed fo people to get together more fluidly. GW2 had shitty group mechanics I agree but you can adapt that methodology to alot of things.

I don't know anything about lili but generally hots are shitty in PvP games. You need spike healing or shielding or avoidance.

That was the big part of it. Soft grouping like in Rift or GW2 is great imo.

We are complaining that rifts went from large scale group effort events to things that were either ignored or zerged in 10 minutes. They really took over zones. It was gutted. And forced grouping sucks. Better options for grouping is better. I want both.

I did because the game was boring. I don't have a lot of time to game in the evening, maybe an hour or two. Logging into an MMO and sitting around for 30-90 minutes while figuring out what to do is boring to me these days.

I wouldn't say it's inevitable. There are plenty of good examples of free to play games with out terrible cash shops. GW2, LOL, DOTA2, SWTOR unless you want to count the stupid UI shit. Game is still playable though. Rift, I think, is still a good one but I haven't looked into it in a long time.
