There have been signs of an active plate dupe or exploit on Yelinak for a few months now. I have not been tracking mischief though.

They need to go ahead and announce it so people can tell them how much they hate it and they can change it.

I am not 100% sure but I suspect its just a ranking system based on unique logins. They seem to like to just count unique logins for a server on a given day. I do know that Yelinak and Mischief have average about 1300 a night for the past 6 months, Vaniki about 200 a night.

POP is the most popular expansion after release by far. I think its more a lesson of why you should never split servers.

Not likely, but I can tell you what is most likely. Devs hate TLPs, they are boring to them. But the devs that worked on vaniki saw it as something interesting and non boring. So now they are convienced that it was a great idea and want to force it on normal tlps so its interesting to them...

Way I see it with that data is they have 2 base options for the new tlp. - Mischief copy with a small twist (maybe all loot attunable?) - Yelinak copy with a small twist (maybe no flagging?)

People love classic to pop.... Poor vaniki, and to think they want to implement Vaniki ideas into normal TLPS. Its like the person who made new coke trying to convince themsevles it wasnt a total failure.

Only daybreak would take parts of a server that peaked at 25% of a normal TLPs population and think forcing it on a normal server would be a good idea.

All they have to do it not screw this up. When they mention experimental it makes me think they are going to screw it up....

Would be ok for the 2nd server I guess. Would be a disaster for the primary server. Plus it would instantly kill Yelinak considering it hits GOD same month the new servers release.

If you think you can do krono farming as a full time job then you are fooling yourself. Its not easy, its not constant for most people and it can be taken away at a moments notice. Its also highly competitive right now more than it has been in years.

This makes no sense... Plat dupe on live wont cause plat inflation on a tlp. Sure that person could buy alot of krono on live and come sell them on TLPs but that only causes deflation of the krono market not inflation. I would love for someone to come into some of the tlps with 100s of krono...

I am pretty familar with almost every source of krono going through EC Tunnel and I am not aware of any krono dupes or just krono coming out of nowhere right now. There is apparently an active plat dupe/exploit but those krono are pretty easy to track and its limited right now.

DK is the middleman for a lot of shady people in eq. He was the main reseller for the plat duper on mischief for example and has been known to sell for other well known fraudsters in eq. Also after multiple conversations with him I am fairly convinced he's a junkie in real life.

DiamondKrono is a flipper. He buys for 8 and sells for 10 to 11 per. He does no farming in game.

As long as Selo is not the main server it will be ok. Selo/Vaniki style servers are dead in 4-5 months. So they have to do the main server as a slower classic start server.

Selo server is great for a few months but burns out really fast. One month is just far to fast for the main server that year. A mangler or mischief copy as main server A selo style server as server two That might work

Most large krono spending on items happens much later not earlier.

Big whales dont play on servers like that. Whales on vaniki are more like fish. Whales buy 1000+ krono on a tlp and none were on Vaniki.

A one month release server as the main server would be a bad bad idea. Selo launched with Mangler and while selo was fun for 6 months it averaged 350 people a day online after that while mangler averaged 2k. I still don't see why they waste their time with servers that are going to average less...

IMO next server rules should be - Mangler ruleset - All keying / flagging requirements are removed No it wont be as good as a mischief style server, but it will be better than Yelinak and allows for a Mischief style server the following year.

New UI has far more risk honestly. I wish they would beta test it for 4+ months or so before doing live with it.

IMO Vaniki style servers are just not worth the dev and support time. Vaniki topped out at about 500 players and dropped pretty quick to where it averages 150 a day now 8 months in. Yelinak has not been a good server yet still averages 1400 daily 8 months in. The only positive thing about...

If they do a mischief clone, not sure I want them to do a 2nd server for overflow this time. The transferring of items from one server to another causes issues. It would be nice to see another mischief without the plat dupe and the loot exploits fixed.

Main issue with fast expansion release servers are they just die far to fast. IMO 2 months is the minimum per major expansion outside class/kunark.

Whatever they do, they should do it in late Feb or early March. Current servers are dying really fast.

Most gear will still have level restrictions on it so I guess I am not against removing the level requirement for zones as well as part of a no key/flag server.

My only though would be to keep zone level restrictions in place. Beyond that remove all key/flagging requirements for zoning in or looting in zones.

I know the most people that have played on TLPs happened from March 2020 to Aug 2020 or so. Mangler had 3k+ on every night during pop and Aradune released but the servers craped the bed and messed that one up.

Main issue with Mischief is that it makes every other server bad by comparison. If they bring out Mischief 2.0 say every other year it could just keep feeding that narrative. That might be a reason they wont do another mischief for a while.
