Neither, level the green knight into an ADK, the devil dragon into a CDD and the lil'red into a meteor dragon - the valk is useless without a full healer set, of which you have none. ADK, 4 dragons and a healer/odin/adk helper will take you through a huge percentage of the game quite easily...

For a very low sample size - 4 expert runs - 3 knights 6 adept runs - 0 knights 3 novice runs - 0 knights None of the knights so far are off bosses, but off the random ones that show up in early levels. The drop rate from these seems very high.

It stays, as long as it's the same skill. Sometimes the skill gets replaced by a higher level version and then you lose all levels, but for MSK I am pretty sure it's the same active skill in all evolutions. ( Obviously the leader skill changes )

Nope it's pretty much random, although you can occasionally make guesses as they'll usually do a full round of dragons for example. They seem super tight with the knight dungeons though, there's only been one show up in the US version (Blade of Light), and that was due to their special event.
