Shadowkeep did add the matchmade nightfall ordeal mode which you can farm for exotics and high lvl mats. Same one every time for a week tho. Edit I see Jorren already mentioned it.

It's 10 rocket kills in Control. Camp heavy spawn for a few matches and shoot rockets into capture points. I almost did the whole quest in one day.

Yeah, necessary key was removed with the update. Now you can keep farming the wave over and over for armor rolls from the chest, with the weapons still dropping randomly from the boss itself. The armor drops should complete a full set first and then random slots each time after.
