I updated my Nvidia drivers and dropped from 30 fps to 15fps. I can't recall a time in the last decade where updating to a new driver ever did my any fucking good. Game is basically unplayable for me right now.

You probably have trials selected. You can only select one type of roulette (e.g. dungeon, campaign, trial). At lower levels and early in the msq, there's barely anything available, so you'll get the same thing over and over.
