Doublewide needs alot of stability. I tried walling down to the ground below and sticking an unsnapped foundation underneath but it didn't help.

I've been doing the same. I built atop a very tall rock with 7 iron nodes and there's a bit of stair negotation. I had to destroy and rebuild a few times to get the navmesh just right. I just started over yesterday on a new server so today when I wake up I'll have to redo it all in stone...

My miners ignore the ore deposits. They go after the stone ones but even if you throw them at the ore they ignore it.

I tried that too, no luck. It seemed to only let you build down 1 stairway and then you couldn't really connect it to another foundation. Maybe building up from the bottom might work. Hope none of them rolls over in the night haha, 50 foot drop behind them
