Supposedly the new updates make the game look, uh, Unreal. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm installing it now just out of technical curiosity.

Star Wars is weird though. Technology is weird, part archaic, part advanced, most worlds are very resource constrained, and galaxy-scale logistics is actually somewhat realistically very difficult due to shipping and trade politics.
And the prisoners never got to go home and tell anyone, they just got shipped to other Death Star production facilities.
It makes sense as much as anything in Star Wars makes sense.
Slaves will always be cheaper than robots. Human life is incredibly cheap for its adaptability.
Also, tech in Star Wars is weird and kinda sucks. Don't overthink it.
The barriers to entry will go down with engines that support open development and integrate AI art generation and AI for filler quests and dialogue generation.
12700K + 4080 FE running pretty good. Never goes above 450W, only rarely above 420W, 200 fps @ 1440p just about every game.
Very interested in the 7900x3D though.
Yeah so I bought this when it was on sale, because Amazon has free returns until Jan 31st 2023. It's already here! I also ordered a Herman Miller Aeron Remastered but the order keeps getting pushed back deeper and deeper into January. It was also 400 dollars more.
Might just cancel the Aeron...
So I'm working from a clean install of Windows, everything is running zippy except for certain things on the web, specifically content embeds like on FOH, Twitter, etc. Did a bunch of troubleshooting only to realize it was the dumbest shit.
Turns out this setting still defaults to ON for no...
Right, because Luke was the heir to Vader's space magic, she was a princess, and because of super lasers.
This movie is about what the Empire did to regular people, simply to maintain order and skim graft off the top.
Saul is just an awesome character. Andor is literally the least interesting character in the show. :)
Andor is basically the Bella Swan of Star Wars. A complete stand-in for stuff to happen around them.
What's great about this show is it finally shows why the Empire is bad beyond "super lasers" and "Darth Vader is scary."
What's not great about this show is that you know going into it that the main character dies in Rogue One. I can see where people wouldn't want to bother getting invested.
I dunno if Greyscale will ever recover. It's on the list of the next victims after FTX and BlockFi.
Gonna give it a week or so to see if it even comes back up to 8 or 9.
At least it pays dividends. But yeah, that was real dumb.
Looking to offset about 17k in realized gains from the AVYA YOLO plus other stuff. More if I sell my SPY...
Heroes had a pretty fantastic S1 too. I would put it as close to perfect as mass-market broadcast television can get. Obviously premium cable and streaming services go by a different standard.
This is exactly correct. But people are fucking stupid, including the people we consider to be smart.
The other thing that people aren't paying attention to is that the very strong dollar is pushing more tech jobs back overseas, reversing the re-shoring trend of the past 5 years or so.
