There's nothing that says you can't get lower tier maps from higher tier maps. Generally, what you did should be enough to sustain. You might missing out on too much of the league mechanic.

Only sources of intimidate comes from a leveling belt or a pair of gloves that conflicts with +2 radius. Delve helm is not has high priority for phys because it's "increased physical damage taken", thus it diminishes with Flesh and Stone supported by Maim.

This is where talking in relative terms like "budget" is a problem, so my bad. This is what I would consider a budget berserker cyclone. Some of those items are near your 10c mark. Some exceptions: Shaper ring, probably 1ex 6L Terminus Est, 3ex Kaom's Heart, 3ex Transcendant Flesh...

You gotta pump those numbers up. Those are rookie numbers! Slayer should be able to hit ~2M boss dps in shit gear, not accounting for impale either. I kinda feel like Slayer is a noob trap. Unless you're specifically going for AoE HH hijinks, Berserker is better.

A character playing Cyclone can have a range of 60 units, meaning they can damage the boss farther away, thus arbitrarily safer. I'm relatively certain your Cyclone range is around 40.

The build and gear that the Assassin is playing can be tanky. There's nothing tanky about the Ascendancy itself.

The major difference is the requirements of CoC make you pay in build rigidity and defense. CoC might make that up with the selection of spells lead to a significantly different gameplay. But since the nerf Arc's chain range, it's really hard to feel like CoC offers something much different...

No adrenaline suffix hurts. And I don't see how you're self cursing without Shackles. Are dual foils better dps than 2H Sword? Or are people using that JUST for the extra area. I can't get a PoB where dual foils beats 2H sword for pure dps.

Self-curse temp chains requires Kaom's Roots. Probably better to link your character.

I didn't like the ramp up on the rage mechanic either. But maybe Berserker + rage support will make it tolerable. Think of hitting Berserk after clicking a monolith and being able to spin through more of the Legion with a smaller AOE because your movement speed is that much higher.
