And "we" also see Marty notice it, stop, look more closely at it, and scowl?

    True Detective

Yeah, that's what I was saying, it's extremely subtle. When the camera shifts, we automatically focus on faces first, especially if they're talking. If the shot is long enough, then we have to time to notice other things. The shot of the girl holding the doll is so short that I had to pause it...

True Detective - Daughters Figures (Rust thinks about his daughter) scene [HD] - YouTube Didn't notice before. The kneeling doll with the white shirt/black pants was actually being held by his daughter when he walked in, and it appears that she turned around and set in on a chair before...

I'm curious as to where it was confirmed that the scenes from Hart's memories contained non-factual details? Or is that just another theory mistaking conjecture for proof?

    Arrow

Wasn't questioning his motivations. More his methods and mental ability. If old Slade wanted revenge on Oliver, he'd just kill him. New Slade has some intricate evil plot that he cooked up, and seems very controlled and patient.

    Arrow

Of course. Now that season 1 of Dracula is done, she's got the free time. I'm a little confused about this Slade business. I agree that Crixus is a total badass, but how does he go from military commando to evil mastermind? Did the miracle juice increase his IQ as well? Not saying he was a...

    Dark Souls 2

Still too limited. Kb/m need a flat surface, and were never really designed for gaming. Controllers are better at somethings, but still limited. All additions are just minor iterations on an outdated design. Someday we'll have stuff like this: g-speak - oblong industries, inc...

April 25th sucks ass, but I'll look on the bright side. The torrent will probably be available before that, considering there's a legit Xbox torrent already.

heh. Mine does. I tend to rock the Pharis Hat or nothing most of the time, unless I temporarily need to raise one of my resists. Might throw on something heavier for the occasional boss fight.

    Marvel Heroes 20xx

Oh, don't get me wrong. I think the game is a lot of fun, hence the burnout. And splinters are awesome, I got all but 3 of my heroes using them (no random boxes). Don't remember how many I have, 12 or so? But you have to keep in mind, when I was playing was when they were just starting to tweak...

Burned myself out on this game just before Ghostrider patch, but I played a shit-ton before that, and I noticed the same weird shit with RIF and uniques. Math nerds will tell you you're crazy, confirmation bias, small sample size, etc. It's bullshit. When you've played rpgs for as long as we...

    Dark Souls 2

While I prefer kb/m to a controller in most cases, I've been thinking for a while that the keyboard really needs a replacement for gaming. It was never intended to be used as such, and while it gets the job done, it's becoming clearer every day that we need something new. And I'm surprised it's...

    True Detective

I'm a little worried about this too. But, wouldn't it be crazy if 5 years from now, season 1 is considered the weakest? heh And thanks to everyone for the car battery lesson, as useless as it was. Who fucking cares if a car battery can kill someone, he was obviously going to use it for...

You don't have to go shieldless for a parry build, but it's an option. I would practice with a target shield (slightly longer parry window) until you get the hang of it, at least. I practiced my parry in the burg until I was good enough to parry Havel from full to zero. Edit: Also, yeah...

    Thief (2014)

I can relate somewhat. Early on in my gaming career I got in the habit of "saving" consumables, cuz, ya know, I could use this now, but I might need it more later and wish I had it. So, I basically end up finishing games with 99% of all consumables unused.

    Thief (2014)

Yeah, I get that. Could still be a mild form of OCD. It really depends on the person's reaction if they are unable to/prevented from satisfying that urge. Maybe not a panic attack, but even if it makes them slightly uncomfortable/irritable it could be a problem.

Not really. You can trade it to Snuggly yeah, for a junky souvenir of reprisal. And the director's statement made it sound like the pendant was a really important item.

    Dark Souls 2

Doesn't sound like that to me. It says "increasesdifficultyof enemies" so I would assume more hp/damage, maybe more aggressive too. I remember from a vid, that the devs made an announcement during the network test that they were going to make enemies tougher (somehow did it on the fly during the...

Finally some clear descriptions of the starting gifts. Dark Souls 2 Wiki - Gifts Kinda have to go for Petrified Something, since I find consumables to be a waste. The ring is still as useless as ever, but at least it's not a trap this time. The seed sounds like a cool way to troll dickhead...

Someone pointed out that "Black Armor" is spelled wrong in the display shot, on that Siliconera article. Unless they are actually selling a black love edition. Also, just noticed, that "while supplies last" is from the consoles collector's edition and refers to the knight figurine. Seems...

Thanks for the info, Sean. I was desperately hoping the late April release date was a fake, so I wouldn't have to wait an additional 6 damn weeks for the game. Thanks for shattering my dreams, bro! j/k *limps away, shoulders slumped in dejection*

    Dark Souls 2

Yes, I'm not arguing that, I'm just talking about coding-wise. They've been cross-developing with the pc in mind from the start this time around. I don't see them needing an extra month and a half for the pc version. I don't know all that much about the process, but wouldn't they be rendering in...

    Dark Souls 2

Yeah, April 25th seems a bit far, the PC version isn't going to bethatdifferent. It's just some better textures and a different control scheme, right?
