Is it still a thousand bucks for alpha access to the "game"?

After Fallout 4 when all your dialogue options were "yes / no / sarcasm" and then guessing what your guy will actually be saying I'm pretty much through with Bethesda's Fallout "stories". Why is this in the FO4 thread anyways? It's a new game.

I played through PoE and I thought the story was boring and over the top silly, and that there was faaaar too much text to read. I enjoyed Baldur's gate and all of its text and dialogue, but it felt like PoE was ten times as much to read. Anyone else felt the same? Will this be a novel as well?

Settlers 3 also had this, it made the smithy produce pigs instead of swords.

fun fact: This game seems to have some hidden copy protection where the game teleports a zombie on top of your tents every few days in case a pirated version was detected. Steam Support forum has quite a few threads from people who don't own the game on steam and whine about this "bug" :D btw...
