It was for the Asian markets. SOE was worried that the game wouldn't do well in Asian markets due to ugly characters so all of the non-furry races got alternate models.

C&C is here to stay, that should be pretty safe to pickup. No idea on Crown of Seeds. Oldhim loves that card and is pretty degenerate with it in blitz but no idea if it will make a splash in CC. Fai's aggression is so insane that it will probably need to be in the metagame to try to slow him down.

Bought it at full price, it's pretty mediocre. There's some interesting mechanics going on but the card pool is not balanced whatsoever and the gear grind is abysmal. Also the art style sucks.

Peacock isn't so bad. The runes can take some time but Punja's Progression isn't actually required because you can glitch past it. Claymore, on the other hand, is an absolute slog, particularly the parts that take place in Palace of the Awakened.

Yeah but he has a harder time vs. aggressive decks. If you can pressure his hand, his turns become really awkward. Hybrid Iyslander can't pressure his hand hard enough from damage (he has good armor without sacrificing AB), and he usually has no problem affording taxes.

IMO the advantage with pixel art is that it's easier to achieve a more stylized or iconic look that never has to worry about falling into the uncanny valley. I don't think it's necessarily cheaper in the long run because it can take a really long time to design each individual environment asset...
