    Checking the manual on that, I see the OSD has a DP compatibility mode, might want to make sure it's set to DP 1.4. It says DP 1.4 and Thunderbolt can do 144hz but that 120hz is preferred.

    Do you have your GeForce drivers up to date and can you choose a higher refresh rate in the Nvidia control panel? Otherwise there might be a setting in your monitor's OSD that you're missing.

    Yeah, you just need to choose the upgrade this pc option in the tool. You don't even need to make a USB.

    You can still upgrade for free. Grab the windows 10 media creation tool, run it on the PC you're upgrading and choose to upgrade. As long as you have a valid Win7 license you will get a fully activated W10 of the same version, home or pro. This doesn't work for enterprise.

    I've got a shield pro and it's a great device. My only complaint is the recent update from Google that's giving me ads on the home screen now. If you want to avoid that make sure to turn off auto app updates in the play store when you set it up and don't update the tv launcher manually.
