The majority of power comes from multiplicative stats. This video should explain damage buckets pretty well. Also yes glyphs are giant power spikes. Get them to L15 to max radius then to L21 eventually.

    Diablo 4 / IV / IIII / Fore / Cope / Seethe

You play a class with permanent unstoppable or a class that can 1 shot from across the screen. If not then you destroy every sigil with "all mobs have cold enchantment". Other guaranteed destroy sigil affixes at higher tiers would be. Lightning gathers above the player. Get into the protection...

No sir I'm a druid main w/ a sorc alt. Rogue is being saved for season 1 if it isn't balls.

    Diablo 4 / IV / IIII / Fore / Cope / Seethe

First one I got into with any seriousness was Tempest as it was when I finally spent money. ~2-3 years after initial launch. But I hope this isn't to compare a 10 year old game made by an indie company with one made in the year of our lord 2023 by a mega corporation with multiple ARPGs and all...

    Diablo 4 / IV / IIII / Fore / Cope / Seethe

So basically your defense is other games do things shittily so this one gets a pass? No. 30+ years of ARPGs to recognize what is good and improve upon it. 23 years since D2 to take what is good and improve upon it. 11 years since d3 to see what players are having fun with and improving upon it...

Damn he got fucked. Death clip.
  7. Chimney

    Diablo 4 / IV / IIII / Fore / Cope / Seethe

Pretty sure this is the fastest I've been bored of any ARPG ever. Wolcen was the reigning champ but D4 took the gold. Currently L83, gear is pretty much set for two specs which leads to another grievance of needing to click every single point in the paragon board to respec. What riveting and...

    Diablo 4 / IV / IIII / Fore / Cope / Seethe

I agree mostly. WT3 is a waste of time so if you can clear solo or get a carry into WT4 I'd recommend everyone do so instead of dicking around in WT3. Farming world events and the WT4 normal dungeons will get you your mid game power spike. I went into WT4 at around L58 and was hard stuck at...

    Diablo 4 / IV / IIII / Fore / Cope / Seethe

Would kill for loot filter. L73 now and doing 40-45 nightmare dungeons pretty comfy solo, but they are still hard to carry a 4 man group. With how slow the 5 glyphs I use are taking to level by the time I get them to 21 I'll hit L100 it seems.
  10. Chimney

    Diablo 4 / IV / IIII / Fore / Cope / Seethe

Yeah no idea. One of my friends I run dungeons/helltides with is constantly getting them, but he's playing werewolf. Resists definitely do seem fucked. I started stacking poison resist because it's the worst one aside from the lightning tower and it seems to have made little to no difference.
  11. Chimney

    Diablo 4 / IV / IIII / Fore / Cope / Seethe

I'm playing pulverize druid and still have never even seen a shockwave aspect in probably 1k legendaries. I'm also almost 70 and have gone without it while wearing mostly gear in the L40-50 range so it's not 100% necessary to update your gear if you're able to live/clear efficiently. My bias...

    Diablo 4 / IV / IIII / Fore / Cope / Seethe

Literally every single game that has a talent tree or skill point system boils down to the barest selection of builds for anyone who cares about min/maxing. It won't matter if you have 100000 choices or 10. You have 21 sub classes to choose from in POE and they only use the same 2-3 builds for...

    Diablo 4 / IV / IIII / Fore / Cope / Seethe

    It's the unstoppable icon.
  14. Chimney

    Diablo 4 / IV / IIII / Fore / Cope / Seethe

For efficiencies sake yes and you want to do the highest one you can consistently clear fast, but RNG is RNG no matter what activities you choose. Goal should be to be able to survive/dps into WT4 and 21+ dungeons which is where ancestral gear starts dropping.
  15. Chimney

    Diablo 4 / IV / IIII / Fore / Cope / Seethe

I still think it's worth picking up if you're a fan of the genre and I will probably get 200-300 hours before I burn out of boredom and then only play during seasons like I do with PoE / D3. <3
  16. Chimney

    Diablo 4 / IV / IIII / Fore / Cope / Seethe

Yeah, but then I'd have to be social. 🤢
  17. Chimney

    Diablo 4 / IV / IIII / Fore / Cope / Seethe

They are mostly copy pasta with aesthetics by region from what I see. Very limited boss types at the end with a few variations of kill X to complete as well. The game didn't force anything, but there is zero chance I personally go back to do any sort of map chores once the new game smell wears...

    Diablo 4 / IV / IIII / Fore / Cope / Seethe

Finished 100% map completion and over the last 3 days. All 115 dungeons was brutal monotony.

    Diablo 4 / IV / IIII / Fore / Cope / Seethe

Going to be salty af if they nerf druid. Finally feels really good to play for all the 2 hours since I got my shit =D
  20. Chimney

    Diablo 4 / IV / IIII / Fore / Cope / Seethe

Got my god tier item and now my druid absolutely clapping wt3. Might go for wt4 depending on the dps req.

    Diablo 4 / IV / IIII / Fore / Cope / Seethe

If this is the end product of the #1 RPG writer at any time in the history of the earth then I'm glad I never completed The Witcher 3. Like do you guys read any fantasy/sci fi? Even self published Amazon nobodies could be swapped in and no one would know the difference.
  22. Chimney

    Diablo 4 / IV / IIII / Fore / Cope / Seethe

I expect more from multi billion dollar companies with decades of experience /shrug. Zero reason they can't bring in writers who have more than tumblr fan fiction on their resumes.
  23. Chimney

    Diablo 4 / IV / IIII / Fore / Cope / Seethe

It's as mediocre and phoned in as anything in last 20 years. D3 was more compelling (despite being way less dark), Grim Dawn, Wolcen hell even Titan Quest and it's crappy mid 2000s CGI had more going for it. The sole impactful story moment is the opener with Lilith being summoned which I'll...

    Diablo 4 / IV / IIII / Fore / Cope / Seethe

Hit 50, finished campaign, unlocked WT3. Now to figure out what to use for endgame to start grinding and do the map chores. Enjoying the game overall, but the story is so low effort even with nearly no expectations. Really want a map overlay, gem bag and pet gold loot for wishlist QOL items.

Yeah I saw my first at L32 and now they keep showing up.

Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

You can max out your batteries super quick. Unlock the forge constructs (let's you buy the upgrade mats with zonaite) and kill the boss types/lynels/frox etc. Each reset will be 2-3 full upgrades depending on your thoroughness.

Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

I'm clocked at like 110 hours. Did around 100 shrines, all the temples, main quests, majority of underground exploration and probably 3 dozen or so side quests/adventures. Probably just bang out Ganon and complete the game this weekend and then just finish the myriad of side quests whenever time...

Leaps of logic is definitely a+ smoothbrainism. I bought this months ago because I played the game months ago. Trailer isn't hype. The end.
  30. Chimney

    Diablo 4 / IV / IIII / Fore / Cope / Seethe

Yes. I love good animation not trash tier live action from a company known for their fantastic cinematic trailers. The same as if I saw a good cartoon, animated film etc. quality is quality.
  31. Chimney

    Diablo 4 / IV / IIII / Fore / Cope / Seethe

This has gotta be the worst launch trailer Blizzard has ever done. Negative hyped.
  32. Chimney

Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

The more content you clear the harder things get afaik. I have fully upgraded miners armor (80 Defense) and npcs like Gleeoks/Lynels barely even tickle.

Yeee that's what I'm looking for. Will experiment later.

Pumpkins give defense buff iirc. Durian gave you shit loads of temporary hearts.
  35. Chimney

Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Agree that materials have been zero issue in this game. The two bis items bombs and muddle buds are both underground everywhere. I feel like weapons do break too easily without getting them +dura from the rock octs, but I always have a full inventory of decent ones so it's been irrelevant. The...

Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

You don't need to use a staff/wand for gem attributes. You can attach to swords and crap. Even better is the upgraded set let's you negate fall damage.

Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Man I just wasted nearly two hours. Semi spoilers.

For fairies. Become a reporter. Hint: Go to woodland stables. Talk to NPCs. Hint: When you do that it'll point you to the rest. Just finished second fairy and it's kind of a pita to find the NPCs. All of the fairies follow the same type of quests. Battery upgrades come from killing...
