    Pathfinder: Kingmaker

At the risk of asking something obvious, have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling? It sucks that you're having these issues when you're really enjoying the game.

    Pathfinder: Kingmaker

Crazy, I've never had any of those issues. But the game is held together by paper clips and clear tape so I don't doubt you. ...paper clips and clear tape, just like tabletop Pathfinder!

Make your own parties in PF. Be upfront with group expectations. Unapologetically boot anyone who doesn't perform. Add good people to friends list and start a linkshell with people you know you can rely on. Over time, you'll have a network of decent players to help you bypass PuG shitters.

Yeah, SE is being pants-on-head retarded about this. For most of the day, every day since the expansion launch, character creation has been locked on ALL North American servers. AFAIK, they have yet to address this problem. Meanwhile, this is still up in Times Square: Not to mention the...

I mostly bought minions and Orchestrion Rolls. I capped again when I had 8 FATEs left and I was saving up for something that cost like 400 so i figured I would just hold until I finished.

I did them all on DRK, and it took me from 70 to 79.5. Just did two dungeon runs after and I was 80.

For 71-80, if you have rested EXP, dungeons are absolutely the fastest way to level. Doing the dungeon closest to your level can net you around 45% to 50% of your level. If you're with a good group that can do big pulls, that can guarantee you a full level in 45 minutes. Without rested EXP...

Healers are great for queue times right now but I dunno how they are at soloing before they get Glare.

Hopefully they maintain the quality standard for the rest of the story in this expansion. They really started phoning it in with Stormblood after Tsukiyomi.

Probably PLD. I would say DRK, but they don't actually get their god skill until 70.

The parts that had to do with character development and character relationships were fantastic. The parts that had to do with the greater plot were par for the course for a JRPG (not good). But it seems like the writers have definitely figured out that focusing on characters is the way to go...

AFAIK if you bought the base game through Steam, all the expansions need to be bought through Steam. You don't have to pay subscription through Steam though, you can use Mog Station (which is what I do).

Inner Beast lost its damage reduction and Steel Cyclone lost its healing so yes, they are just stepping stone abilities now.

We always had WHM threat issues during O4S, and not just because of the aggro resets. Almaghest hit like a truck. I would routinely have to Smokescreen the WHM or they would just rip aggro.

I'm surprised you don't have non-essential party spell effects turned off yet. As soon as Blizzard IV came out, I shut those off.

That's okay, even people who watch the story are still completely clueless.

    Pathfinder: Kingmaker

As far as teamwork feats go, Outflank is an absolute no-brainer. Since flanking is dumbed down in Kingmaker, Outflank is stupidly OP. It also makes Back to Back pretty decent since it's easier for enemies to flank you. Shake it Off is also pretty good, that's pretty much a permanent +2/+3 bonus...

    Pathfinder: Kingmaker

It's still worth playing. Unmodded, I agree with @TJT that it's an 8/10. Very solid game. If you're willing to mod a bit, I think the game jumps up to an 8.5 (mods let you fix a lot of the little QoL problems or absence of certain mechanics like vendor progression but sadly no mods exist to fix...

Don't really understand why you're so defensive over me thinking Eureka is trash. I've read enough thorough opinions on it to know that it's still shit as you go up. Yeah reflecting sounds kinda neato from a conceptual standpoint but the actual gameplay is "aggro these mobs and wait for them to...

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

In any case, there's more thinking and activity happening in A1S, and the amount of time I had to spend doing it is much less than the amount of time total that needs to be spent in all of Eureka. In fact, I probably spent as much time in Anemos when it was first released...

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

It doesn't matter how efficient it is to me. I find the core gameplay mechanic to be insufferable so I don't want anything to do with it. I play games to unwind, not to get irritated. I have about half of my ARR relic done (stopped at books pre-nerf because they too, were insufferable, and I...

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

Sorry, I didn't mean Pyros, I mean the one that comes after Anemos. The snow one. Pagos? I read what people had to say and they outlined exactly why they hated it. That's good enough for me.

  33. Kriptini

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

Doesn't matter to me. It's still hours of my life being wasted on mind-numbing bullshit I'll never get back. And even after Anemos, it's not like Pyros is much better.

I just... don't find spamming my rotation for hours against mobs with zero mechanical complexity to be any amount of fun.
  36. Kriptini

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

How do you use the phrase "NM train" and not cringe immediately? Nothing is fun about autofollowing for hours and occasionally tagging a mob for EXP. It feels like the game is deliberately wasting my time.

Final Fantasy XIV (Guide in first post)

I would do Baldesion Arsenal if I didn't have to do Eureka to unlock it. I'm like level 11 in Anemos. Eureka is the boring, asshatted content this game has released and I want no part of it.

    Pathfinder: Kingmaker

In your capital's town square, if you open up the map you should be able to see there locations. Only Amiri hangs out in the tavern, I think. If they're not in your town square, they might be at Oleg's Trading Post. I think if you don't ask them to join you, they wind up there.
