Look I agree with a lot of that, but you're not going to change the majority of people who want loot and don't want to lose it nor will most of these items keep and potentially grow a sizeable population. It's just what it is.
They have the time, talent and financials to make both PVE and PVP...
Players choosing to waste their time to continue fighting over resource spots vs if you die you're now minus loot and similar punishments are way different from a player perspective or the dozens of MMO PVP games released the last two decades wouldn't be dead. Same with needing to fight your way...
How is it meaningless? You can still fight for resources, fun, bragging rights or whatever tickles your pickle knowing that it's a fair fight. Skill vs skill. Ruining some casuals day that will 100% leave the game when his gear is yoinked is a stupid design choice that has been proven...
I love PVP in MMOs and still think loot loss and/or remotely harsh punishment is a great way to kill your game on release. And yes spending 10+ years in development to have 5% of the population left over a few months after release is a dead game no matter how much fun all 4 people left circle...
Bought Witch Queen finally and just finished campaign on legendary. That last fight can ligma as I think it took me 30 tries, but it was pretty fun overall. Probably poopsock for a week and then quit until the next one drops. =D
If you haven't already then try out Grounded (on Gamepass PC if you use that) if you want to play a complete game. I am a self proclaimed hater of survival based games, but have put real time into Valheim, Grounded and Subnautica and enjoyed each, but Grounded is by far the most fun I had all...
I haven't been playing shit for the last couple of months with any enthusiasm, but started this yesterday on Gamepass and have close to 20 hours into it already. It's the first Persona game I've played and I am not spoiling or using guides so it's been entertaining trying to figure everything...
Can grab beta keys for watching twitch for like 15 minutes. Am a sucker for the genre so I will be trying it out for sure.
https://tfd.nexon.com/en/twitch-drops
It only took a single day to tank after all the twitch shills stopped getting paid to play it so one could assume it's not that great. Fall off looks faster and higher than any CCG that I've seen released and now scrapes the bottom of the barrel with the rest of the mobile games that had 15...
Yes, but it's not quite as important anymore in the world of the console wars. Getting customers stuck in the overall ecosystem from generation to generation and riling up smooth brain tribalism for poor people who can't own them all keeps the money pouring in.
I know I sure as hell would never...
I still haven't beat the story completely as it apparently never ends. I've kept on top of ensuring my gear is decent and my skills/runes are maxed with at least 3 links playing a fireball/meteor build. Some shit still takes forever to kill and I'm squishy AF, but there is no way to really...
I just finished act 2 and calling it a night. Game is smoother than beta. No bugs/crashes or other nonsense. Going to wrap up story and see what end game looks like tomorrow. It's bland, but like I've said before in this thread it's new and that's good enough for me.
Got first unique as well...
You should care. Over half of the population regularly engages in various social media with projections of growth to 3/4 of the population through this decade. The lions share of them are in the kid/teen/young adult bracket. People who continually report higher than average rates of practically...
She tapped into the market of cringelords and I applaud her for business acumen regardless of her being attractive or not.
But those two ham hocks could interact with women in the world even looking and acting as they do. Instead they put so much emotional investment, time and money into people...
I hate shaming people, but everyone involved in this parasocial experiment, no matter to what degree or social media platform, needs to be dropped in the middle of the pacific ocean and nothing will convince me otherwise.
<3 If they ever offer those roster transfers I'll likely pop over, but until then too much time vested to give up and restart fresh.
The alt squad was great at the start and I'd do it again, but with all scrappers and sorcs.
I did first gate and then did unsuccessful group roulette for gate 2...
Mat costs tanking was always going to be a thing once more people got to T3 and then parked. That's why it was so juicy getting 500-1k for GHLs early on from the RMT/Whale crowd.
It was always be "punished" for pushing too soon, but never for pushing late at the beginning but as we inch closer...
1415 was easy months ago with the flood of books and other crap.
1445/1460+ is/was time and cost intensive and should really only be bothered with if you actually want to do that amount of raiding.
Personally wasn't worth it for me as I was spending the better part of 20+ hours a week just...
It has a short knock back, shoots really fast and I had a passive item that tacks a slow onto things that get hit by like 30% I believe.
Synergistic choice ;]
Will be checking out Soulstone Survivors and Rogue: Genesia when they full launch. I love shmups and bullet hell games, but these are still surprisingly enjoyable with how low effort they are to play.
Brotato has become my game of choice when I'm in them virtual meetings since it requires...
For sure, I could just do without that sort of predatory nonsense when I happily spend money on games if I enjoy them. With almost every game in the MMO/ARPG or GaaS genre continuing to do this shit, it warrants closing my wallet out of spite. Not that any of the devs/publishers care since...
Went through act 2. It basically took something from every ARPG system I can think of to the point of blatant copying. Skill tree system is neat, the amount of various drops and upgrades feels like POE bloat though which is a turn off.
It's f2p though so I'll probably jam on it for a week...

You on the rock bruv?
Yes and no. All of the shrines in BOTW involve some form of puzzle or combat, but I doubt I even did half of them before I beat the game as they are more of a completionist thing than a necessary thing. I hated BOTW at the start too. Once I had about 10-15 hours into though it became one of my...
Picked up Brotato and had fun for about 5 hours before I got bored so I got my $5 worth =O
Just beat Fenyx Immortals Rising. Solid Zelda BOTW style game, but the humor was not for me.
Metal: Hellsinger is going to be next along with diving deeper into Grounded.
I dislike survival games, but...
Look I'm just really impressed that a game being made in 2022 not only ascribes to the style and game play of a 1990s tech demo, but is also progressive enough that if your gaming tools look like the below it doesn't put you at any disadvantage from those with full motor control. That's gotta...
I had 2 on main account and another on second account and I am pretty anti alts, but wanted gdkp money.
A lot of the people we played with had char cap all maxed and second accounts w/ more max level chars again for raids/gdkp.
You make a fortune that way and kit out all chars in BIS easily.
Imagine being able to crowdfund half a billion in your triangle shaped enterprise gaming company with nothing near a finished product in sight. I really should have ditched my morals decades ago if I knew this many retards existed.
On paper it sounds so nice to upgrade, but I'm in the same boat where playing all my games in maxed 4k nothing dips below 60FPS or get capped at 120FPS on the OLED anyway so what is the point. 95% of the games released today can be played on a TI-86 with their retro/pixel/cartoony graphics and...
Damn Odyssey is super long. I've only played Black Flag.
Haven't touched gamepass in months and now have about 400 hours of games to try with all the new shit.
