I don't feel that they shit the bed. I'm enjoying the hell out of it and think that it's just as good as the first 2 IMO. It's just not as new/fresh since it's more of the same. I think I'm getting near the end now and it's very intense.. have a lot of fun.

Galatea was't really nerfed, you just have to down but not capture the target. It still works perfectly if you do that.. Farmed up 10k oxium with ease there a few weeks ago with double nekros.

I wouldn't bother with cetus any time soon, its mostly endgame content. Eximus can spawn randomly in any mission. Do a defense and you're likely to see some by round 5.

You make them using your foundry. You can get recipes from drops in game or from the market, or other sources you'll find later on. Just follow through your quest objectives and clear the first few planets to get your bearings.

It's not a competitive game, but no you don't need to spend a lot of money. You don't need to spend money at all if you play a decent amount as it's trivial to farm things which you can sell for the $ currency. You don't even need to play for all that long to get to the 'endgame' content.

I think you have to buy the TennoCon Digital pack to access it though
