Me being a grump aside I could watch Saru all day long. Doug Jones is a really talented guy. The walk he has perfected on Saru shows an awesome attention to detail.

Totally agree. I still believe the best Batman outside of the comics is the 90s animated series. I loved the Adam West series but even back when I watched it in the 70s I recognised it as a camped-up version of the real thing aka Dick Giordano's Batman.

To be fair, Star Trek is hugely guilty of reusing storylines. Whether it's all the crew get pissed/high and they're all in danger (every series of Star Trek has used this except the CBS ones) or the mirror dark dimension plots they've pretty much all been done before.

First episode was a whole bunch of nothing. On the one hand she's getting all teary-eyed at the loss of the Federation and it's wonderful values and on the other she's running around vapourizing everything that moves. Oh and punching the new guy in the face at random moments in the show...

They retconned the TNG and TOS Klingon connection though right with the Klingon Augment virus. I mean, it was nothing as offensive as the Disco Klingons in S1.
