I bought a basic combat shotgun off a vendor in diamond city; modded it with a drum magazine and it has 32 shots before reload heh. Like you early on I farted around and didnt get to diamond city, once you do some more weapon types open up off the vendors there.

Yeah my experience with VATS is similar to hodj; I like the more RPG aspect of vats, and I do find it useful in multiple enemy encounters.

I'm assuming rifleman applies to single shot laser rifles? Found a new one to replace my laser musket, not sure how this game qualifies semi-auto weapons.

Been playing with a x360 contoller, works pretty well though I use VATS alot.

Anyone play with high luck for the crit perks? wondering how it's working out, still not 100% sure on my starting build heh.

I'm just waiting to hear where you actually access the DLC ingame. I have my original characer in NG+, think I only beat the first couple bosses then took a break. I have all those doped soul consumables and upgrade stones on him too so I can just powerlevel myself with those.

^That makes my decision about pistol/automatics vs sniper a little easier.

Xenoblade is best played through the Dolphin emulator. I don't have the 3DS version myself but yeah, i can't imagine enjoying that game on a handheld. The screenshots I've seen haven't done it much justice either.

Anyone have thoughts on Jedi Guardian vs Sentinel? Might play this casually for fun, I'm mostly dps orientated but not sure where these two stack up against each other. If Sentinel isn't that much better dps wise then I'd rather play Guardian, prefer the single lightsaber look :P

Ahh right, well I still mostly say wait as I'm sure the game will obviously look a lot better and can always get those sweet Steam sales.

Graces f probably has the best battle system of the PS3 Tales games, pretty garbage characters/story though. I'd go for Valkyria Chronicles out of that list, wait for Lightning Returns to come out on PC this fall.

Welp watching some streams, this game looks great. Bloodborne engine, dark souls 1 movesets, mana bar; looks like a culmination of all the previous souls games.

Though it looks like the Steam release got pushed up a day? Now available Monday afternoon from what I'm reading, not sure if it's just a display bug though. Edit: yeah steam page is showing the 19th.

EU can get it on PS4 today.

GATE will be back in January. Picked up the new Utawareumono, it starts off like the first show did but apparently its set 10 years in the future in a different setting. Will stick with it.

Ni No Kuni? Not sure if you have a ps3 or not but the storybook nature of the graphics and storytelling might be fun if you are controlling most of the action. Plus it has little monsters you capture and use in battle, your kids might like that as well.
