What Rift does right is factions. On PVP servers you are hard coded, pve you can group with anyone. And for pvp instances you can become a mercenary and fight with the other side so that there are no long queue timers.
Its to bad Wildstar has not taken a page from Rift.
Actually playing now but it seems dead in the mid levels ie 20 to 30. First play through so i spent 15 bucks and got hutt cartel and 500 creds for it. If anyone wants me to raf them pm me.
In regards to the last poll.
I posted corpse recovery but would really like corpse recovery and experience loss.
There are many ways death could work in MMOs. What's your preference for EverQuest Next?
Permadeath all the way! One death only, if you die, you start a new character. -
I...
Some things I am sure you can solo, but you should not be able to solo your whole way to endgame, that to me says the game is to damn easy and it will be dead in 3 months.
I have watched all 3 seasons of this show and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for something new. Its a tv series about Norse gods reborn inside New Zealander, particularly the johnson brothers..

Honesly Bruman I am trying everything atm, GW2, Tera, Rift, wow and swtor and not one of these games gives me any kind of risk vs reward scenario. They all feel tedious and unfun. I am having more fun in Smite than any of these mmos and that makes me sad.
Ok so I will take a knock at this, when it comes difficulty what I want to see is in no particular order:
1) Fear of dying, this happens when high end mobs are put in low end zones. Roaming npcs like a werewolf at night or a Griffon flying through during the day.
2) Encounters with npcs that...
I log into rift and do a few warfronts or a conquest and log off. Having done the rank grind in the game a few times I can honestly say if they wanted me around they would add some true competive pvp.
Playing Tera now and the combat feels choppy. I want to be able to continue to move while attacking and not have to wait for an animation to finish.
To Mist: yes but GW2s everyone's a healer philosophy did not work very well.
Rifts pvp also failed, even though the world pvp was great early on. The bg pvp rank grind felt stale and uninspired. Pvp needs a way to go head to head and a true rank system, not just a grind to max rank. Rifts bg system is better than wows when it comes to variation of game types, wow owns...
You have to make a level one with the name .Levelup at the end before sunday night at midnight. They will run a script and you get a free 58 with tier 11 gear and 1 name change as well. here :http://support.enmasse.com/tera/level-up-test-event
I am doing the free 58 myself, I hated the quest hub leveling but for pvp i figured why not. Rolled on tyranus, made a zerker. According to the reddit warriors are good all around but hard to master. I went berserker, I always enjoy big numbers
Open world pvp vanilla wow, Rift briarcliff and regulos servers. PvP dailies in open zones was alot of fun on pvp servers in Rift. PvE for me had to be AoW in EQ and First Nefarion kill in vanilla wow.
I take it you never played Everquest, the game being brutal was the biggest draw. You had to work for your character and it gave it more meaning when you did achieve something. EQN is catering to the wow audience, the "I want it now crowd." Having played both WoW and EQ I would rather play with...
Gaurantee one of the big tirds behind the game said we have to attract all audiences, we cant restrict anything. Probably the same tird behind getting rid of the evil gods.
I don't mind if you get a drop from a corpse and can trade said drop in for a different piece, like what wow did with the Sunwell raid instance. The grind for currency, through dailies though, makes me want to kill puppies.
I was disapointed in the quest system for Wildstar but with the new credd system it might be my next game. Warplots and arena being in are a big saving grace for many of us. If leveling through pvp is viable, this game may make it past the 30 day point for me . That being said, when is the next...
