Yeah Blighttown has known FPS issues, especially bad on consoles.

I think Wave of Force with the fire rune or Meteor with the swarm rune are what most people run with MM/Conflag

^yeah pretty much why I had to drop FT after that 7 year "time skip" arc. I figured they would advance the character development a bit after a timeskip but basically nothing happened other then side characters getting old. Ended up not caring about any of the characters like I do in HxH.

This is pretty much what I did for my end game build. Great lightning spear line is pretty solid, and you can eventually get the Defender Greatsword which works really well with a str/faith build.

Hex magic wasn't touched at all in the patch iirc, mostly sorcery/pyromancies.

You get more then enough souls to level by just playing. I think I finished around SL 130 after my first NG playthrough. You generally need far less souls to level in DS2 then you did in DS1.

So I found a Thunderfury tonight on the crusader, tried it out and wasn't impressed with the change from my schaffer's hammer. I usually run it with slash/electrify and FoT;Fissure and it works pretty well. TF just seemed to run it a bit slower. Guess my question is that TF a viable weapon...

^Yep, then you realize the bigger str weapons swing a good deal faster then they did in DS1 so the speed advantage dex weapons generally had is gone.
