    1. Crypto isn't going anywhere. 2. The entire crypto market is/was due for a pullback after the insane run it has been on (especially VET). Nothing strange about that. 3. Don't give in to FUD. Panicking and selling during a dip is a newb move. /PSA

Lol I'm reading an 80% crypto tax on Fintwit. Yeah... Bullshit. This is like that news that the DoJ is investigating a bunch of companies for crypto money laundering. Just floating a rumor to get a big crypto dip so whales can buy in.

Any word on what "big taxes" means? We already pay on every crypto trade that results in profit. What more is there to tax?

I personally don't think it's strange that ETH is moving independently of BTC. Like I've said before, I always expected it to happen, just not necessarily right now. Even now, I don't think it's completely independent. BTC is probably still the broad barometer for crypto health. If BTC were...

The strong will survive, but a whole lot of shitcoins are going to be dying out in spectacular fashion. (I DO like Vechain for the record though)

    Bitcoins/Litecoins/Virtual Currencies

Yeah, I mean you can pick just about anything in crypto and make money right now-- just as long as you don't catch the top of a pump. There is so much volume right now from both retail and institutional investors clamoring to invest in something crypto-related, hoping to get one of those lucky...

Respectfully disagree with most of this. One of the biggest indicators of a shitcoin is that it has no use case. ETH has the best use case in crypto- by far. DeFi is built on ETH- that's why companies like Visa and Mastercard are targeting ETH, not BTC. It's also why ETH has been...

Doesn't sound like you are getting ahead of yourself. Always have a plan. Taking profits is smart and being able to do something like pay off a mortgage is huge. I personally would always hold on to at least a percentage of my crypto, especially something like ETH. But everyone has different...

That's pretty much been my experience exactly. Anytime I have messed around trying to swing things I end up just thinking I should have left it alone. So I'm going to stick with that from now on. I'm sure skilled people can make money swinging crypto, but I'm not that skilled. Plus, since...

Pretty succinct summary of how VET works and why it's so awesome. Worth clicking on the actual Reddit post and reading some of the comments.

Yeah that's the one I have loaded and watching now... No luck There are apparently LOTS of people waiting by the crypto watering hole to pounce on dips.

Dip over lol. Shortest dip in crypto history. Grats to those who caught it.

    Bitcoins/Litecoins/Virtual Currencies

Kind of a crazy situation. Potentially bad news causing sell offs, but there are so many people waiting in the wings to buy dips that it's pingponging like mad. I'm watching the institutional investors. A sell-off there could cause an actual serious drop. Not that I'm selling regardless.

If you managed to catch BTC at 51.5k you probably got a great deal. It must have hit that low and bounced back so fast it's not even registering on the chart.
  27. Arden

    Bitcoins/Litecoins/Virtual Currencies

Probably not long. Looks like lots of people are buying the dip. Dunno though. I think there is probably a concern about anti-crypto legislation resulting from these charges. The dip might last for a while is people are waiting to hear what the DoJ says about the launderers.

US Govt going to be charging several institutions with laundering via crypto. That's causing the nosedive.

I listened to the entire first episode of the series he did with Saylor that you posted and thought it was really good. I'm both an anthropology and Roman history wonk and Saylor knows his stuff when it comes to that. Didn't even get to the crypto part yet but I still thought it was really...

The Saturday night crypto dip is pretty much a tradition at this point. Should continue to dip the first part of the week (unless we get a catalyst). This is good. It needs to dip to stay healthy (and so I can buy more).

Well, the charts focus on retail investors. Obviously the charts aren't always right, but I think retail behavior is the most predictable/easiest thing to chart. The wild cards are the random world, government, and institutional moves that shake the financial landscape; things the charts can't...

Honestly, I went ahead and consolidated everything I could into VET and ETH, which included most of my stocks. No mistake, focusing so narrowly is a risky move. I'm willing to take the risk myself, but I wouldn't blame anyone that wasn't. As everyone here knows, diversifying lowers both risk...

Binance is definitely the best place to buy VET because it's one of the few exchanges that has it. I personally think it's the best place to buy all crypto because it has a ton of stuff and it's far and away the cheapest- but others might argue with me. All my ETH and VET are in Binance.

    Bitcoins/Litecoins/Virtual Currencies

Agree. Both ETH and VET seem to have the best use cases out there so I'm going all in on both of them. Their performance record backs that up too. It's part of the reason that ETH has been outperforming BTC for over a year and has really pulled away from BTC very recently. People are...
