Sold SNDL at 2.95. Guess I don't have diamond hands. Bought in a dollar last week though, so won't be too upset if it keeps going up.

The House wants MJ legalization, the Senate wants it too. Pretty much all of Biden's cabinet wants it as well. Ironically, Biden is the traditional lone holdout for legalization. I'm betting he changes his mind and we get fed legalization within the next 2 years.

" The expense ratio of a stock or asset fund is the total percentage of fund assets used for administrative, management, advertising (12b-1), and all other expenses. An expense ratio of 1% per annum means that each year 1% of the fund's total assets will be used to cover expenses." So 6.2%...

Just out of curiosity, did you really just pick TGODF bc of the name, or is there word of a meme play on the nets?

My long-term stuff mainly. Palantir, ZYNE right now (I need more long-term stocks). Obviously not my SPACs

That's actually helpful advice. My instinct was to just hold through the downturn and try and buy more at the bottom, but I didn't know if there was anything else to it tbh.

    Investing General Discussion

Honestly? Bought last week on the advice of Zach Morris. My understanding was that ZYNE was more of a solid business than SNDL, but don't take my word for that.

I bought SNDL and ZYNE. Federal legalization is inevitable, it's just a question of when.

I'm kidding, I'm not that much of a pussy to freak out this quick. It does make me realize that I have no idea what to do in an actual real crash though.

Everything is dropping on my board. @Blazin is this where we liquidate everything and try and short the market?
  12. Arden

    Investing General Discussion

For sure. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing an Palantir-specific bad news. Edit: It looked like it was dropping significantly more than the rest of the market comparatively

    SPAC & IPO Ideas

Definitely not holding through merger. Selling at first rumor bump. I thought the sectors I chose were pretty hot and the teams that lead several of those SPACs are well known... But it sounds like you are saying you don't think those SPACs are going to hit during the rumor phase?

    SPAC & IPO Ideas

I'll put my recent SPAC picks up. I'm still in the process of building my first portfolio, so understand that these aren't recommendations (because I wouldn't take my own advice at this point). Putting them on here mainly to see if anyone has critiques or recommendations. These come from a...

RH has been decent with the xfer of money in/out for me. They've never charged me random fees or done shady stuff with my money. The only issue I had with them was the cockblock bullshit they pulled, but that's more than enough of a reason to never do business with them again.

Lmk if you find out. I'm holding 250k shares of this shit lol. Im going to try and sell as it goes up (assuming it keeps going up like it has). We will see if I actually have the discipline to do that. The "selling slowly while it goes up" strategy seems the smartest but feels the worst.

Again, don't know why it would be different, but I just signed up for my first Fidelity individual account on 2/1 and they let me start trading immediately. I bought HCMC on 2/3. Never had anything Fidelity related before.

Actually it's not letting me buy it. You can't market order penny stock and each time I put in a limit order it goes up and my order won't fill. Any solution to this? It feels weird putting in a limit order for higher than the current price. The current price is .0041 and I put in a 100k...

This is definitely something I need to do more reading on. I bought BTAQ this morning and I had the option of buying either BTAQ or BTAQU. I bought BTAQ because it was a little less expensive, but I have no idea if that was the right move.

@Break Can buy doge on RH. It's fast and easy and you can even buy it with instant funds now. That said, I'm not a RH fan because the bullshit they pulled with the meme stocks. I use them because I can't find anyone else, not because I trust them. So there's that. There's also the issue...

My understanding is that it can be used, as payment but I don't know the details. I'm also wondering if doge can simply adjust their technical aspect to become more viable as a legit currency. Totally agree. But I'm not sure it needs anything from a technological angle to give it legs. If it was a stock I would give it a zero percent chance of going anywhere long term. But I think currencies are different. The value of currency is largely derived from the population's belief in...

Mentioned this on the coin thread, but I think it will go farther than people think. The traditional view of doge is that it is a worthless joke currency- and it has been for pretty much its entire life. But I think there's at least a decent chance of that changing. I'm not going to sink my...

I've been cautious with doge because it doesn't make sense as a long-term investment (for reasons already stated in this thread). That said, I'm finding myself being forced to revise my thinking a little bit. Ostensibly, there are better cryptos for long-term investment, but here are the...
