Doesn’t the Windows install media have a Repair and Fix built in or one of the BIOS options, like booting in to safe mode? Doesn’t help if you don’t have a USB already created and ready though and no 2nd machine to make one :( I had to do that once and roll back to a restore point.

As of a couple weeks ago they were still installed to the hidden folder. Was trying to figure out how to use them on the Shield Pro and had to go in and find that hidden directory. That worked well enough but the SN30+ Pro wouldn’t work. Haven’t had time to mess around with it anymore.

Not looking at your prices but the $90 may be Gen3 which are ~3500 mb/s compared to Gen4 which are ~5000? Although I do think Sabrent has a $110 Gen4 1TB that I saw after ordering my 980 Pro.

Disabling VDM worked immediately. It was enabled on that Asus BIOS version. Using the Search feature took me right to VDM, disabled, restart, Windows installer saw it, now installing. Thanks for checking!
