Settlers of Catan is a nice into boardgame also. Really depends on your tastes and general level of skill. Helps a huge amount to have at least one person who's familiar with whatever you play.

Something is really lacking lately. Seems to be missing the spark of the earlier seasons, and I don't think it's just down to Castle and Beckett being together. And when do they finally get married, will we need to start calling them Castle and Castle?

For me the pacing is really off. Takes so long to build stuff and move anyway that I get bored without even achieving anything beyond settling a few regions. I do like some of the mechanics they've got happening, like the 1 city per region thing.

The conversation after Jaime frees Tyrion is one of the worst moments in the books for me. Just such a clunky plot device on so many levels. Really hope they change it in the show since it's not like Martin has gone anywhere with it yet either.
