There is nothing they can do that is going to shake me from my position of "no more money until your product gets the all-clear from trustworthy nerds."
If it shows up again or disappears forever I'd feel about the same. I liked it during the campaign alright but the rewards took this big dip at the start of maps. I did one loop of the end game content, saw the boss guy once and was out.
It's an easy way of adding a dynamic that would draw in more people than just those planning on bind rushing CT for three hours while still being in flavor with the server. They could just delete the entire recommended level mechanic and that would be A-OK.
I still think it would be an improvement (will also accept double loot) given the nature of the ruleset but I do not expect it to happen. It's going to make things really, really cliquey among people trying to complete challenges.
There won't be any Mitigation of the Mighty bullshit on Classic mobs. Combined with instanced raiding the server will shit out a huge amount of dead Voxes and Nagafens starting maybe even the first night.
There's also just general shitter haste items in the later eras.
With Vaniki starting in Gates I took a run through the tutorial on Mischief to look around. I hadn't done that in a long, long while and was surprised to see that the starter gear all got bumped up somewhere along the way.
There's a full visual set (one bracer) plus a weapon for every class...
You all are not appreciating the meta aspect to all of this. Trapped in a twisted and dark reflection of something once so familiar, not sure how things could have ever turned out this way? That's us. Q is torturing us.

- Raid bosses and rare NPCs are universally no longer susceptible to begging or pick pocket.
- Removed the need for and distinction between magical and non-magical weapons.
- Out of combat...
How about instead of stripping the mechanic down to its absolute barest of bones and then require the player to do chores for weeks to months over multiple content patches you start with it doing what people expect out of flying and then work to unlock shit that makes it fly like a stunt plane...
I've got an absurd amount of time between the first game and its enhanced edition but in comparison I've only played the second a single time. It just didn't hook me and had a number of fights that were just a pain in the fucking ass. I'm looking at you oil derrick.
Also fuck cursed fire.
You're going to have a couple people per server that go to the crafting board and mash complete on every single order and all the other crafties are going to bitch endlessly.
Yes it is.
I'm not sure if I would want that kind of attire on my employee for the big expansion reveal IF it still is the international signal for dick sucking.
