    Supergirl

Oh, come on. The effects were pretty damned good for a TV show. There were only a couple of places where the CGI looked a little off. But the fight scenes were fantastic. Straight out of Justice League Unlimited.

That fucking trailer did the pilot NO justice. CBS may have itself a real winner with this one.

I'm telling you, they're all in the Matrix.

Company bought - potential incentives to stay?

If it's a public company, be prepared for an initial house cleaning. Any under performers will immediately get the boot just to show you who is in charge.

    Supernatural

Can someone give me a run-down of what significant happened this past season? I really don't feel like slogging through 20+ episodes. Just a quick summary and then I'll watch the last couple of episodes. Maybe.

The Big Bad Console Thread - Sway your Station with an Xboner !

Honestly, I wish I had just waited on the PS4 purchase. I have no doubt I would have bought one eventually but probably when it had dropped to $299 and revision 2 of the console. The Blu-Ray drive spin-up sound annoys me. My PS3 is completely silent. I'm not as demanding as I used to be...

    Grimm

Wait, didn't Juliette get on the helicopter? What was she doing while the Royal old dude got shoved out the door? "Just drop me off at Nick's"? I thought for sure it was Nick's mom that called Truble. That, somehow, it was all some clever ruse to expose the Royals or something. Guess it...

You may want to consider Microsoft ASP.NET MVC framework. User account management and security is baked into one of the template options. Obviously, though, you still will want to understand what's going on. I've been working through a MVC5 book and it's pretty sweet. Microsoft has become...

    Naked and Afraid

You know, I'm wondering if there's something one can do about the mosquitoes. That has been the consistent bane of existence for every survivalist. Could one weave some type of blanket out of leaves or whatever and lie under it? Would that help at all?

    Naked and Afraid

SHE MALFUNCTIONED, YO She was cute but that damn mouth would get old right damn quick. Wasn't too impressed by the dude either. Also, I call bullshit that he lost his water at the beginning of his trek and made it out without assistance. No way you could go a day and half walking miles in...

StyleCop is one I've considered recommending. Ironically, code checked in today had public method names with underscores and all lower case. Bizarre shit.

Speaking of code reviews, this is how we do it: developer finishes task, sends an email out saying, "hey need someone to review my code." Random available person picks it up, looks over it briefly and gives a "thumbs up" 99% of the time. I don't think I've ever had someone question why I'm...

For you guys that are on development teams -- how does your team enforce code styles? I guess I'm "one of those guys" that is extremely anal over variable and method names. But our team has no consistency at all -- these people are all over the place. I realize styles have changed over time...

    Computer Chairs

Seriously considering going for one of those Herman-Miller Aerons. My lower back is fucking killing me lately. However, has anyone tried one of those kneeling chairs? I'm wondering how comfortable one of those can be.

    Grimm

Maybe Bitsie Tulloch wants off the show? Ain't no going back for Juliette now. And she's not that great of an actress to become the main antagonist. But who knows. Writing hasn't been that great. Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio must no longer be available so I'm guessing that's the reason...

    Avengers: Age of Ultron

Yeah, this bothered me too. Fighting the Hulk would have had the exact opposite effect Tony wanted.

    Avengers: Age of Ultron

I think I was most drawn to Helen Cho, despite her limited screen time.

    Avengers: Age of Ultron

Decent movie, but not as good as the first. I'm not familiar with the comic Ultron character, but it always bugs me a little when robots / A.I.s act human. Maybe Ultron took on some characteristics of Stark? Not sure, but every time Ultron spoke I kept seeing Red Reddington. Also, yeah...

    Movie's cliches and techniques

Here's one: people dreaming or remembering in the third person. Not sure about you, but I don't have out-of-body experiences while remembering some past event.

Not sure how Barry's current speed compares to Marvel's Quicksilver -- but we saw how absolutely ridiculously powerful super speed can be inDays of Future Past. No way Snart and pal would stand a chance.

    The Last Man on Earth

Wow, Carol was actually kinda hot in that dress. I really like this show. Not sure why it receives so much hate here.

    Windows 8

I magically starting receiving news notification pop-ups from the Windows 8 "Money" app. No idea why it started doing this nor can I find an option anywhere to tell it to shut the hell up. And, no, it's not already opened in the background or anything. Weird.

    The Flash

No shit. I can't count the number of women in these shows that scream, "You must tell me EVERY. SINGLE. SECRET. or you don't LOVE ME!!!!1" Fuck you.

    Justified

Will miss you Raylan and Boyd...and Tim. I thought the finale was great and was happy it ended the way it did. Also, I'm guessing the showdown between Raylan and Boon proved Raylan was the quicker shot. It was clearly shown that Boon was an crack shot (rattlesnake head and all of that)...

Having all your business logic as stored procedures sounds like insanity to me. AngularJS -> ASP.NET Web API (or equivalent) -> SQL Server (or equivalent) is certainly a fine and fairly effortless way to go.

    The Flash

My prediction is this: Barry goes back to time to save his mom and ends up saving the original Harrison Wells in the process. This results in the particle accelerator not getting built until 2020. Because of this, Barry no longer has the speed force (ala Flashpoint Paradox). That'll be the...

    Better Call Saul

I watch the TV rips and was shocked - SHOCKED I SAY - that they dropped the "F" bomb twice. Was this bleeped out during broadcast in the US? I thought cable networks were maxed out at "shit".
