If you just need to split it get whatever gigabit 5 or 8 port switch is the best deal on newegg. Switches are simple as shit, no point in spending a lot on one.

Commute used to be 40-45 minutes (37 miles) which sucked. Moved and now it's roughly 2 miles and 5 minutes or less. I can literally walk or bike to work if I want. It's glorious. Oh and going home for lunch, or to poop. Love it.
