I definitely am more productive at home. I think because I end up tossing on headphones with twitch on and just put my head down and work. In the office I'm often bombarded by people coming by a lot. I don't feel comfortable putting twitch on at work, etc. Plus I'm saving two hours of commuting...

Yeah I talked about it in another thread but the company (Dell, not just the EMC subsidiary) wanted to go 50% work from home by 2020. Right now we've got something like 127k+ employees working from home. There's still really old people in charge that don't understand how people can be...

    Twitch.tv

Millions of people watch twitch every second, and it's really easy to support someone on twitch. There are no weird porn ads popping up when you click things and everything is so seamless. The tube/hub sites are much different. Don't forget. Lots of dudes go to Hooters for the chicks

I don't buy new.pc parts very often and I feel guilty even building it in this current situation. Don't be too jealous. I felt jealous just buying a 2070s and not buying a 2080ti! But this last year I took stock of whats important to me and my PC comfort was one of them. My current PC is still...

That's true on all accounts. I'm glad our work is flexible where if you have kids they say work whatever hours you can, even if it's super late instead. We've had some troubles with no one being in the office but we could get away with going in once in awhile. Only problem I have is my kids...

    VALORANT - Riot Games

The problem with their entire logic is it boils down to "Don't worry just trust us" Yeah. No. How do we know you aren't going to "accidentally" enable backdoor features and start sending data back to China, or worse .. the US govt. I'm a software engineer, I'm not a retard.

If anything I think not only are companies waking up to the fact that 99% of our work can be done remotely, but employees are waking up to the fact that it's more.productive.for them too. Dell had a goal to have 50% of work be remote by 2020. 99% of the company is remote right now. Ada is...
