Well that doesn't make much sense when all they did was move up 4 spots in the 7th round. Not really my idea of stockpiling picks.
Sounds like it really just came down to improving at Center, and Kilgore didn't want to move to Guard. Really hope they can find some O-Line help in the draft.
I would be totally fine with Thomas leaving the NFCW, but is someone really going to pay that high of a price? I know the guy is amazing, but he isn't exactly a spring chicken. He has to be getting close to 30 now?
I think Bowman would actually be a solid fit for you guys. He is still an elite run stopper, but his pass coverage skills have slipped since the Achilles injury. With the rest of the secondary you have, it would be a good stop gap while trying to find a new LB in the draft.
49ers trade Daniel...
The Sherman deal is just him 100% betting on himself. If he is an all pro selection he'll make himself some good money. If not, he won't It's not really a player friendly deal, so many people see it as a bad contract .
Yeah I posted about it a couple weeks ago, but I had never heard of the source so took it with a grain of salt.
A fully guaranteed contract in the NFL, it will be interesting to see what type of ripple effect this has on future contracts.
Drew Brees Rumors: Vikings, 'QB-Needy Teams' Have Contacted Saints QB
Well, other teams are inquiring about him. So the Saints better step up their game
@Alex have you decided on the Spring Brewfest over in my hood? We got our tickets already, so let me know if you are going.
Oh, and if you do, my buddy Josh found this for you :D
Since the legal tampering period starts today, I imagine we will start seeing deals getting announced early this afternoon.
Depending on how that knee is healing, I would love to see the 49ers go after Allen Robinson, that could potentially be another great addition.
What? Are you trying to tell me that the 49ers weren't going to be targeting a CB in FA this year? And the only reason they went after Sherman was because of the moves the Rams made? That's asinine dude.
And I doubt they go after TJ now, especially if they have to pay a lot for him. I think the...
Now that is just a dumb statement. Everyone knew possibly the single biggest need the 49ers had was at CB, and they were going to most likely be targeting Trumaine Johnson or Malcom Butler (of course until Sherman was released). The 49ers clearly had plans to bring in a FA CB, and probably still...
Not just that, but part of the reason Sherman was so good was because of Kam and Thomas. He had one of the greatest safety duo's in the history of the NFL as a safety blanket for him, which allowed him a ton of opportunity to shine. I am not saying he isn't great, because he was, but those 2...
Yeah not really sure how I feel about this.
On one hand it is a great veteran presence to help that young defense. Assuming his achilles heals up properly (big if there) he is probably still a top 15 CB.
On the other hand, that is a TON of money to pay a guy with those question marks. I also...
REPORT: Vikings Have Offered Kirk Cousins Over $90 Million Guaranteed
Buddy of mine sent this to me. I had never heard of the site, and seeing a fully guaranteed contract in the NFL sounds impossible. Still funny to read all the hysteria around Cousins being a FA though
What in the actual fuck are you talking about? The ball comes loose when it hits the ground just before the end zone, he rolls over and re-secures it while in the end zone.
