The solo Q rogues were topping the leaderboards from what I saw. They did nerf them a little bit. The game's a fuckin hoot. If you missed it this time, come on down in October. Definitely unforgiving and frustrating at first. Deceptively simple too.

Ya they shouldn't do pvp and focus on the core. The monk I played was someone else is guild. And I raped many, many try hards with it. I can out pull a lot of monks on my SK alt too, but there's no comparison to monks power in that department. Let's just be pals and enjoy this game...

SK is turbo trash compared to monk for pulling, which there usually were many of. Nothing grinds my gears like a "DPS monk" that never pulls. Which is I'm sure how you ended up in that position. I played a pvp server, so anyone not on RZ is an ezmode care bear to me :)

That's desecrated EQ. Classic through Velious or fuck off. Making the trek and getting the bind somewhere obscure is part of choosing a hulking evil race. Immersion is a lost art.

Red portals are how to level up fast. Just get in them. Got gud at solo'ing various kinds of skeletons (the red ones are faster and hit way harder). Probably avoid the wraith solo until u get super fluent. Turn off torches, sit and listen for dummies. Know some good spots you can get to...

Had fun solo and grouped, def has a learning curve and some basics to nail down. Goes until 3am "tonight" if you haven't had a chance.
