You are correct, the NHL definitely doesn't do that. My point was actually more aimed at the length of the season and the fact that losing 1 game isn't nearly as critical in those leagues as it is in NFL.

If the NFL were like the other big leagues (NBA, MLB, NHL) teams would rest their starters on Thursday night games. Unfortunately the season is too short in football to pull that off, and you can't give any games away. Nobody likes it, and it should be done away with.

WTF is this talk about Conor at 170. We have seen him fight twice at that weight, and neither time did he look spectacular. In the first fight he looked great for about 1 1/2 rounds, and then gassed and got wrecked. In the second fight he looked great for the first couple rounds, faded hard...
