Yep. Not saying they shouldn't do it, but they should consider the timing as it'll possibly kill the run. It was trending up nicely up to 75, though you could argue the longer the wait the higher the chances it goes back down.

Yeah, Merrill is trash. I used Vanguard for a long time and had no issues when I was more passive, but if you want to get a bit more proactive than I'd go with fidelity. I eventually moved everything over from Vanguard to Fidelity, even my passive stuff.

Vanguard or Fidelity are simple enough and are pretty much the gold standard for long term passive investing for 401k/IRA
