12 hours is probably a week to most of the playerbase AFTER leveling up. That's more than a week of "Delve sucks" stewing in a player's head. It's quite understandable why they made this a high priority.

I mean, if that's what you like, do that. But it's quite common for people to put a chaos-value threshold of items that they won't leave the map because it's generally not worth selling those items compared to the monsters you could be killing.

If you don't prioritize farming azurite, you can't do shit. If you don't prioritize upgrading your sulphite capacity, maps will easily waste sulphite. If you prioritize upgrading sulphite capacity, your light radius and darkness resist will be shit, making delves a corridor simulator. Hopefully...

I'm noticing the same thing as well. My guess is that they realized that Azurite was too abundant in the endgame and rather than doing an elegant adjustment, they just downshifted the whole linear equation by some constant. I don't forsee myself going darkness diving for a while

My guess is that the subconscious choice of "I could F2P this if I wanted to, but I choose to pay for packs instead" is superior, even if Artifact ends up being cheaper than Hearthstone in the end.

Got to maps with 4k life and maxed resists from leveling gear. I don't think they've change affix rarity.

You don't upgrade them unless they have a prophecy(that also has to drop). Eventually you'll reach a level where a rare will be better.
