Who cares about proxies for a dying format man, its not like stores are going to keep organising those events. I don't think you are buying your own argument. The Wotc case against proxies is only in DCI-sanctioned events afaik.

This really. Our LGS gained a new player last year, a russian post-doctorate student working on some kind of healthcare shit.. in a few years that guy is going to have a solid income, and he'll just buy shit at whatever its priced at.

Seems pointless to argue over that, vintage is still being played, "enough" is relative. As long as there is demand the prices will keep going up, which is the case, and which proves legacy has a lot of room to hit its ceiling.

I play both lands and miracles. Moat isn't nearly as good in miracles, as tabernacle is in lands. Lands has a good natural matchup against miracles, and tabernacle creates a solid matchup against eldrazi. Good matchup against 29% of the field (mtgtop8), seems decent for a "fringe deck"...

afaik every pro (yes there is a world cup irl also, 2 guys at local lgs did well) will advise against the haffer chef, as other inducements (wizard mainly) have a far bigger impact (except the guy that actually plays halflings, because they get them at half price)
