I don't see how they don't wipe now. Even aside from the level 50s, defiant gear is/was dropping, and people were spawning with full suits of it on level 1s.

It's just the betabuff chars people are spawning as. If it comes back up I recommend monk (has a fungi), paladin (has cloak of flames) and warrior (pair of lamentations). SK also has about half a million plat in its bank.

I didn't get to check fully, but I made a dark elf SK that logged in as a level 50. He seemed to be covered in gear? If it's the /betabuff level 50 sk he has almost a million plat in the bank...

Monks will use fists literally forever I think? Maybe end-game Velious there is something slightly better. Rangers can sort of bow kite later on, but it's slow and not great, otherwise their solo is mostly as bad as any of the melee hybrids (better than warriors/rogues, far worse than casters)...

That's my point, you're looking at vox/nag/god drops before anything approaching a decent weapon is even a possibility. Sure, there's 13/30 available on Vox for rogues to use, but what do you do for the 50 levels of shit before that? Rock SBD for weeks/months until you pity your way in to a raid...

Dear god do not roll a melee class until Kunark is out, or until after you level your caster(s) and can gear them. Weapons are going to be non-existent for a loooooong while.

I talked to a few different people and it sounds like anyone from the forums that is still playing on the blue server is just mostly doing their own thing in various high end guilds, so no there is no real established forum guilds at all right now. I wonder if there are enough of us to try...
