Absolutely. Hard divisions of the player base like that is just fucking dumb. It's an MMORPG yet half the players might as well be on a different planet since you can't interact with them in the game in any meaningful way.

Hardcoded factions should be anathema to MMO design. But because of WOW we had to suffer like 20 years of MMOs with hardcoded factions and even now nobody wants to make an MMO without them really.

I don't think it's any more incoherent than any of Kojima's other games. Much like anime and JRPGs I just ascribe it to non-Western storytelling style. But for all intents and purposes it is batshit insane. I mean look at this Metal Gear Solid storyline.. it was always batshit.

Same behavior with anything. I either get weird behavior (odd in game lag, sound cuts out, or something) and freeze requiring manual restart or restarts with the error I mentioned.
