They changed something with the loot spray so that it always moves out from the ground and gathers at a point just behind your back. When this happens those voxels move in front of the camera, so it repans. Fucking annoying.

i7 2600k @ 4.3gig, GTX770, 8g DDR3, SSD. Sits at 66fps pretty much all the time on High settings. Every single time I swing a pick though, the resulting loot spray drops the FPS to 10, creating what feels like giant fucking pauses every swing.

I've been hitting mining pretty hard, developed a pretty reliable system of finding Rubies. Sapphires are the rarest of the gemstones because there's only a single vein type that has them.

Always tier up, never go hunting to get a rare+ pick, until you hit Indigo.

Think of damage as the number of units the pick can remove. The size is radius that you hit with. So a higher size, with a smaller damage will be a terrible pick because of the distribution of units removed over the area (extra shit like dirt and stone).
