All of the metrics and data so far (from Reddit and other sources) show less than 1/3rd of people rushing to 60. Most people will get there within 2 months or so. Go at your own pace; there will be tons of people to play with.

Yeah, wasn't thinking of leaving the starting areas. More just randomly killing and grinding and trying to avoid some shit quests (UD starting area for instance is a nightmare if everyone is doing the same skelly quest) and then skipping to the level 3-4 quests that don't have such a bottleneck...

I can't seem to find the answer anywhere yet: could someone just grind mobs levels 1-5 to get out of the initial starting area, without bothering with the quest bottle necks? Or, are there some quests that are required to trigger others to move into the 5+ zones?

Fun > all other considerations. Even as a raid team, we won't have to min/max to a crazy degree to win. Pick what your gut says will be best.

Yeah, I think a lot of people are going to swap out professions over time. I will do Herb/Tailor to start, but I think eventually drop one of them for engineering. Not sure which, however. Herbs will be useful forever for raid mats for the guild and Tailoring will be useful for making money.

Also an awesome idea to use iconic Items.

BTW, I'll be going Tailoring and will have bags for everyone (6 slots arrive at level 7-8). But, if anyone is going enchanter, I'd love to trade some bags for early wands. Those can help a lot.

Same thing I debated with myself. I like them both (questing, PVP, dungeons) but have never used with for raiding. I know mages will do more DPS, but they will be boring in raids, where as hunters will have a more interesting rotation and be less common (more loot available, if that matters)...

95% sure I'll play Mage. Yes, there will be untold hundreds of them. But, it just feels like the right choice. Warlock is a lot of fun and very powerful (did one from Vanilla through the end of Wrath) and I've never played Hunter, but I know they are fun (I'll have a Hunter alt, most likely)...

I'm struggling on class choice too. But, I'm trying to remember that what I find fun and what makes me happy will be more important that if there are a half dozen other _____ class in the guild as well. We will need everything, ultimately. Pick what will be fun and will keep you engaged.

That's good to see. Hopefully the factions balance out within 5%. I'm all for community, but I did just realize (maybe way later than some of you) that community could be complete shit if it's a server of 10,000 people. 3,000-4,000 like vanilla enables more interaction with the same people...

Well...done Mage, War, and Rogue in this stress test. I was 100% sure I wanted to go mage, but War and Rogue really are fun and bring back some memories (was a rogue in classic in 2004-2005, but never made it past lvl 44). Probably still Mage. Probably.

Yeah. All the Horde zones I was in, people were serious. All the Allianze zones? Dumbest conversations imaginable.

Tried Horde and Alliance this go-around. I swear to god - in the human starting area at least - all the morons who COULD play, are on alliance.
