Anub and etc are better in 2 tank compositions, diablo may still be 2nd best solo tank behind muradin. That said, 2 tank meta is popular again atm so you don't see much diablo, but, yeah, he's a fine tank.

It happens, I lost to the hard ai once or twice while learning league of legends. A lot of learning comes through just playing the game, typically you won't know you're doing something wrong until you do it and get punished for it, then you just have to learn from past mistakes.
