Pretty sure Doctor Strangelove was B&W by choice. If you check other 1964 movies you have Mary Poppins, Goldfinger, and Fistful of Dollars. Still agree though the movie is great and much like Idiocracy seems to be more fact and less fiction every year.

Casablanca is one of the few 'older' (ie black and white era) movies I truly truly enjoyed. Citizen Kane I found boring and lost interest pretty quickly, but Casablanca is a great film that isn't buried up its own ass or subject to snobbish levels of study and interpretation.

It'd be like if Mass Effect 3 you played as a reaper bent on galactic annihilation and the end scene of ME2 was replaced with the opening scene and Shepard stayed dead. It'd be a whole lot of "I don't fucking want this" but it's stunning and brave.
