Two things I wish they'd implement is similar to Diablo3 where you can alt-hover over an item and it displays the min and max rolls for every line item and for PoE I wish they'd show if the item is an prefix or a suffix. It makes crafting in PoE somewhat confusing.

I've had decent luck just Jewler to 6 sockets then Fuse to 5. But that is more if its an end-game item for your build. Otherwise like the others have said just buy a cheap 5link and alch it.
