A lot of it is because of internet speeds. I used to be a media horder, I'd download every single movie, TV show, and music album that I thought I might ever remotely have any interest in. Mainly because 10 years ago I was limited to 5Mbps, then eventually 10Mbps downloads, and if I decided I...

    Tablets

Generally, refurb means it was a defective return(DOA usually), fixed, thoroughly retested (usually more stringently than new hardware) and now resold. Reconditioned means its used, but factory reset and probably tested. I always prefer refurb to reconditioned. Reconditioned may have some...

I have an original Note tablet(2012 I think?) that I snagged as a refurb for $150 about a year ago and it has been great so far. I don't use the stylus whatsoever, but its a solid tablet even without a need for that feature.(I dont use the stylus at all on my Note 3 phone either)

I would have walked out on that after the interaction with the waiter/drink situation. People who belittle servers are always wastes of human space. It's an instant sign that they are arrogant assholes.

    Gardening

Depending on how your garden is set up, you might not have to get rid of any old soil. The dirt around here is VERY hard and full of clay as well. When we started our garden, instead of just marking off a large section of yard and tilling it up, I built a box around it with 2x10s, so that way...

I was thinking about this the other day. I'm big into music, and going to concerts and as a kid in the 80s and going to highschool/college in the 90s I still often listen to hair metal, grunge, and that kind of stuff. My kid is only 1 year old right now, eventually when I expose him to that...

I kinda miss the days when consoles had their own games, and PC had their own unique games, and it was worth owning all of them because they offered completely different experiences. You didn't see any Super Nintendo or Genesis games on a PC at the time, and you certainly didn't see things...

    Orphan Black

Also just marathoned through both season. I feel like season 2 had a missing episode or something towards the end. Episode 9 ends with Kira captured out of the hospital and put in that little girls room at Dyad. Then the last shot of the episode is Sarah leaving to go get her back. Then the...

KB toys always made me claustrophobic. They always felt like they had 1/4 the toys of a Toys R Us in 1/20 the physical space. Aisles were always stacked to the ceiling with toys, just toys piled upon toys piled upon toys(especially around Christmas). If there were an earthquake while you were...

Well, there's "he's going to have to spend 90 days in prison" excitement, and "surprised me with flowers and a romantic dinner after a long day at work" excitement. I'm definitely more likely to do the latter, nor the former.

Marriage and the Power of Divorce

Yep, every girl that complains about not being able to find a "nice guy" actually knows many of them but can't see past the "not exciting/dangerous" factor to give any of them a chance. Believe me, I've been there, I've often been the "nice guy". It sucks.

I dated two girls at once for approximately 2 weeks, and I hated it. Got set up by 2 different friends(that don't even know each other) with a new girl just 1 day apart. Met one on a Friday night, the other on a Saturday. Liked them both a lot. Went out with each again during the next week...

I feel like one of the biggest areas that most cooks can improve is salting/seasoning food properly during the cooking process. My mom cooks in a way in which she doesn't salt ANYTHING, she thinks "salt is bad for you" and "people can add their own salt and pepper". Well, that doesn't work...
