yeah, I went the other way. Witch>templar>maruader. VD explosion does NOT scale with spell damage though, remember. General damage, elemental damage is needed to do both the death explosion, and the VD projectile.

I think the main use of spellslinger is to cast combos. desecrate+DD/VD/cremation, etc. more direct spells, why not cast on crit, or cast on channelling? those will proc more often, and at 0 mana cost/reservation I believe. spell slinger lets you proc two unlinked spells at the same time...
