I would consider such an opinion over a fan's, to an extent. If people that know little to nothing about Star Wars liked the movie, that speaks for itself. The general audience is not biased. Abram's Trek was pretty bad, then again I'm familiar with the original series, Generations, etc.

I can agree with this. While I was skeptical at first, I did enjoy the film. I'm hesitant about the Han Solo flick for that reason, yet another trip down memory lane. Rogue One doesn't add anything other than a glimpse at what could be Star Wars without the Skywalkers.

One thing I noticed is how bad they fail at names. Nobody has figured out the Lucas mojo. Drek Porso. Genwith Eksboks. See? It ain't so hard.

Watched Force Awakens for the second time. Finn and Rey are likeable characters. A raging and rattled Kylo Ren is a nice contrast. The Starkiller plot sticks close to ANH but underneath the Star Warsness is right there. Abrams and co. did better than Star Trek.

I've doubts for this one. Young Solo movie reeks of pure money grab, hope I'm wrong.
