I think eq fans who want a real eq3 should tell soe, we will support eqnext we want your company to be successful but we want eq3 once eq next is making you money hand over fist. The models are so different they can coexist.

look at support classes in lol.

Normal warrior asskicked by casters mob or pc but can kill rock golems. Magebane loadout kills casters but roflstomped by rock golem.

its going to be more like lol. Some class combos are not going to be able to kill particular mobs. See the magebane example

Weapon skills are weapon and class specific.

Limitations on mix and match based on base class abilities. If hypothetical Brawler class has 4 offense abilities you can not slot utility, defense, or movement from anyone.

EQ 1++ would be nice.

More than 4 character abilities per class, much less than 40 character abilities for class (many more classes than any one class' abilities). Is the current official answer unless there was clarification somewhere else.

Nobody asked the obvious - does class determine load-out question. I'll try and track down a dev. Also stop saying GW2. It's MTG and LOL - they made a straight up comparison.

There is player building in EQN. Landmark templates can be imported in to EQN by players once they have an "area in EQN" whatever that Georgeson comment meant.

did not get this vibe at all but will try and confirm at class panel. Seemed more than 4 abilities per class and it was a pita to get them all. You could only slot 4. Gear seems to be passives except for procs like the boots from the example. Not sure though. I will try and ask.
