I'm gonna be as vague as possible. Random loot has made raw plat significantly easier to obtain with TSS launch. This caused KR value to go up significantly. The rest is just people that are holding large amounts of plat over reacting because of rumors.

I've had over 150 Mil plat on Mischief before. Plenty of people speculate on the KR value going down. It really only takes a couple of Small man crews to decided to cash out at the same time to drive the prices up like this. But it doesn't seem like that's what happening.

With the new TLPs coming up it makes sense for prices to spike because people are cashing out. But i think you're right far beyond what would be expected, likely a dupe.

There's a ton of people that play Classic-SoV to just level up and then they quit. Even in SoL the leveling process is very different and a lot of those people don't really care for the game.

On RF/LJ you could put plat in your shared bank as you were logging out. When they opened up free xfers you could select to transfer and it would start a 30 second logout timer. Then as you were logging out put plat in your shared bank and you would end up with plat in your shared bank and also...

Post TSS is live XP it's just really fast in general. Red Wine quest Neriak(better) or FP to like 15. Twink gear+distillate of skinspikes in zones with undead mobs so they don't run. Basically can DS power level yourself on freetrade till 45 or so. After that really depends on class or if groups...

You could even start over from level one and be 62 in a couple of days. Levels fly on a free trade server with TSS out. You'll even get auto granted all the AAs you would realistically have at 62.

Yeah and for a server like Vaniki you really need people to be ready to stack classes, be down with funneling gear and running the most gear profitable instances multiple times on different accounts. Without doing those thing you can never really know what was possible

They make half their money off micro transaction and they're very front loaded. Special server attract people that wouldn't otherwise play the game. Servers lasting long is actually really bad for them. They would probably prefer it if servers died off after a year so they can resell bags...

Too much of Everquests playerbase is dad gamers for these "hard" servers too ever work. Even the guilds on Vaniki don't really put in enough effort to ever really test the limits of what is possible.

TLPs are slower xp then current live rates until TSS. p99 has slightly more XP per kill, but plenty of changes to skill caps, damage tables and spells on TLPs make you kill much faster. So you end up level about twice as fast on TLPs.
